The TireBuddy App supports multiple identification steps that can be enabled or disabled in the app’s Settings menu.

  • Vehicle Identification is an optional feature and can be enabled as needed.
  • When enabled, the Vehicle Identification step appears before Tire Identification and/or Tire Tread Measurement. You can enter vehicle details or tap Continue to skip this step.

If Customer Identification is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the customer name before starting the inspection.

You can adjust these options at any time in the app’s Settings menu.

Vehicle Identification Screen Overview

Each field in the Vehicle Identification screen includes a text input for manual data entry and a scanner icon to launch the appropriate scanner. The layout of the Vehicle Identification screen adapts to your selections in the Settings menu. Only the selected elements (for example, License Plate, VIN, Case Identifier, Custom Field, and Vehicle Notes) appear.

For example, if only License Plate is enabled, only its input field and scanner icon are shown. If multiple elements are enabled, each corresponding input field and scanner icon is displayed.
